  1. Yes I am ? think I mentioned it in my introduction post. Sure, ask away! Not sure if there is a way to private message?
  2. wow just amazing! Literally goals. So many women would benefit of integrating it with existing hair like you here but usually they are not ready to shave at that point. I started with that same approach but now front has gone thin and wearing all the way up front creates a new set of challenges. So enjoy this perfect place to be as much as you can! I have even used Toppik or similar to fill in the bio hair in front but your front is still great. I have few questions if I may : 1. Is this lace standard unit? 2. What is the length? 3. Did you experience shedding at this point? 4. How long would you expect it to last? 5. What hair type is this? Thank you, you nailed this!
  3. so you prefer vloop overall but would like lace for breathability?
  4. For hold long have you had it or expect to last? Did you do a custom order based on your head cast? I have seen some stock items but wondering how well that would sit if not custom made...
  5. How come the water based glue does not come off with sweat? Just curious as that is the only reson water based glues were never something I dared to try (horror stories of white glue and coming undone)
  6. Wooow I mean this looks SO good! Thank you so much for sharing these as pictures say 1000 words indeed. Do you wear total made by your cast to fit perfectly? Do you feel the edges around or they blend well with your skin? You said you have vloop in front, I heard that is best for front. Is that way to go? And rest injected? Do you use tapes or glue? What is the density of this unit as it is really nice? Compared to lace - is it as comfortable? Is the skin unit less expensive than lace? As knotting of lace is more labour intensive.. So many questions but you are actually now making me look into skin units. Thank you!
  7. Of course, I would LOVE to see it as I had to luck seeing these in longer length on a woman. It would help so much! Thank you. How to do this, I see there is no Private Message option? Was your unit custom made or a stock unit? Oh yes, I don't like it flat either! So best to avoid injection one but go vloop for that volume effect?
  8. Hi Brigitte have you tried it? Does anyone know if vloop or injected make one better than the other? I understand the vloop hairs fall out easily but looks great in front. If one wants a hair lift (volume at base) - is one better than other? I ask a lot but it is hard to see real life examples of thin skin on woman and their feedback. Appreciate the replies!
Grazie ------------------------------------------ Hi all I can see thin skin units are quite popular with men but is anyone recommending it for longer hair? Is it more delicate for skin units to hold onto length? Is the durability much shorter than the lace units? Is injected skin more durable than vloop? Thank you
  10. Many Russian areas and surrounding do cut ponytails, not cutting to short. So i don't see why this would not be the case in other countries. Especially mid/eastern Europe where they could use some cash if they can. I think they just throw the ponytails at the hairdresser. I remember when I was little, I got my ponytail cut and took it home. If you could sell it or donate to a hair bank, it is a win win, no? There were some hair banks started in USA for this matter during covid when people just did not go to hairdressers so they just had too much hairs and wanted to donate it. They use it for creating affordable wigs then. Just my thoughts as I truly don't believe there is no hair on the market. Maybe it is time we utilise it bit better? Also do you know if there is any local wig maker facilities (on Balkans) that could even come close to creating the same as Chinese? Given the rise in costs in China, I don't see them having comparative advantage anymore in the future.
  11. Yes, if it comes to that point maybe even the full lace wigs that are commercially available would be an option. Probably not the correct fit but close enough. Many black ladies are just going that route for full wigs. It just does become too expensive to custom make full pieces these days which is a bummer. I really hoped hair industry would come up with an alternative solutions by now. 2 years disrupted work is something you would expect innovations to blossom. We are planning going to Mars but still glue our hairs the same ways for decades... ? This was a bit of rant but I know we all get it and live with it. Always happy to see other experiences as it is not something you can easily share with others and get any advice on. Appreciate you all here. Just wanted to put it in here ?
  12. Yes, seems all of that Covid is making for a sh**ty time for being a woman who needs hair ? I imagined all of this have added up to the cost so just wondering how other women here are holding up with these expenses (especially if someone is ordering total, that comes up to almost EUR 1k). I did send all of the requested to Medusa but bad luck, it missed the cut off by a day because of holiday delays in shipping. So it will be February. After first order is here, it will be much easier to just put the orders in without rush orders to save some. First order is always the worst to wait for. As for shortage of hairs - should we start hair collection here in Europe as I bet there are women who would donate/sell and it is European hair guys! :)
  13. Hi, you can check and advise me if these rush orders are the ones that make it that much more? I understood this is pretty much must if I want to receive hair in at least 6 months? And some part is mandatory? What is the time difference usually between all these rush add ons and without? Thank you, gives me better understanding for the future. Appreciate your knowledge and experience.
  14. Hi I wear 8x10 inch (standard) for the last 10 years. Also for all the reasons you mentioned ? But my sides are getting more and more thin so I see the future will call for total! I just put an order so I will prepare to even see what I receive in summertime... Seems both prices and wait time is up, for us women with longer hair orders especially. My standard came out € 600, is that usual? It is 45cm but standard size
  15. thanks Alice, I have already filled an order with Freestyle and might be trying the next order with Flat Back. I am still trying to find a good demonstration of this on a long hair to get the difference between the two in a visual way. On another topic - I have been doing my part and reading through as much as I could and see you have tried many base combinations and many hair types and specifications. Mind sharing your favorite combo? thank you
  16. @alice28may I ask why do you recommend that with long hair on lace the best style is the flat back? I would like to understand as mostly it is always recommended to go freestyle with female units, no? Please convince me ? I am placing an order but went freestyle as that is what I always ordered with all vendors. Curious to learn more if better option! thank you
  17. @joie was the user I have found one of the long haired ones so hope we get to hear from her ? She has really long and nice hair and does a great job from the pictures I have seen
ENGLISH: HI does anybody here use Autoglym Tar remover for the adhesive residue? This is something I have learned years ago from other hair replacement forums and surprisingly it works like a a charm so wanted to share. I used that with my lace units and always had much easier clean up what with classic methods (mirror slide, paper towel...). The technique is: - let it sink for cca 10 minutes in the solution (I usually put it base down in small plate) and then you use soft toothbrush to gently remove the residue. - then comb through from base throughout hair to remove any residue from hairs (detergent if needed) - shampoo base and hairs This has given me much longer lace unit life as it did not hurt the lace in the process of reinstalling. Hope this helps! And feel free to share if you have something similar/better. https://www.autoglym.com/intensive-tar-remover
  19. - Ah so it might be better doing your own knotting (yes, I have my ventilating needles ready as I want to be able to prolong the longevity of the units hehe). - I have found parameters but only few have working pictures (non bronken links)... It would be SO helpful to be able to see specifications behind the photo (almost to point and say - yes, that's it!) thank you for your insights
  20. Thank you for the feedback. Vloop I have heard that is the case, doesn't last long especially not for long hairs. Repairs : is that sent to Italy or goes back to factory for repair? That seems great if not too expensive and if hair quality still good. I already looked over those pictures and they are great. Love seing these results on people as it shows how good it looks. I guess it would be so helpful if there were specifications written about the hairpieces under pictures. That would help a lot with first order as you can see and say - yes, that color, this density etc is what I need. Like a reference point. I have gone through so many forum posts trying to find pictures and specifications but many photos are expired so hard to connect the two. Just a proposal I think would lower the questions rate around first order. Thank you all who answer so patiently to everyone that asks. Really lovely community!
  21. I have seen this product being recommended and also and Aufero color conditioner. Hope that helps
  22. May I ask long hair wearers - how big of an investment it is on a yearly level? If it is 2-3 systems per year, that is a significant investment. Pre Covid that was bearable with units being around 300-400/piece (at most direct manufacturers) but this has doubled now. At least with long hair. Might just bit the bullet for first unit and see for myself how it holds up.
  23. Wondering how flat back would look like in long hair units. Does anybody have an example on longer hairstyle? I have only ever ordered freestyle.
  24. Thank you the information Dago, really helps a lot! Yes, I am aware of ways how to wash the lace to avoid hairs coming the other way. That was one of the first "rules" 10 years ago which I learned ? Do you think double lace helps in that regards? The hair color change is not excessive. I have had worse, especially during summertime. The hair is really healthy looking. Is that indian hair? Have you styled it or does it air dry naturally straight like that? Have to say you wear it brilliantly, would never guess.
