  1. I understand this topic as I hear it from woman's perspective all the time, too. If you are scared of being judged, imagine how many women battle hairloss these days and become depressed since not having hair is somewhat normal for guys but not women. Everyone thinks that a woman with no hair is sick and has cancer. So we go through the same struggles and internal dialogues and fears. Fortunately, I started wearing when I was already in a serious relationship and my now husband was the one that stood by me whatever I decided to do. He is shaved so we make fun together that I could teach him how to wear a hairpiece And when I see same struggles from both men and female sides, makes me think if a dating app for hairloss men and women would be a good idea? Not to say that you cannot meet someone normal but surely people who go through the same will not judge other one and would remove the friction from the start. If I remember correctly, even on these boards some couples met? And I personally know so many beautiful women who struggle with hairloss and use some helper hair (which you would not even know if you saw).
  2. Bit should also be much more straight? i cannot achieve naturally straight hair with indian hair no matter how I direct in the form
  3. Not sure if this helps, but maybe joining to add my recent experience with a lace unit. It tangles more than my previous one and I notice the tiny bulbs at the tips of the hair which makes me think the hair is not properly ventilated. Hair needs to be remy as in correct direction as it would grown from our head, not the opposite. i do understand that many factories strip the hair completely and remove the surface of the hair so they can do the ventilation without needing to bother with direction. Still, even if the hair was processed so it doesn't matter, I do see it causes much more tangling, especially when it comes in touch with my resting bio hair. I am wondering if yours is also having the same issue, this issue usually happens with lace units. Thin skin injected units never have this problem since they are injected in the correct direction and no need for ventilation so they can use hair that is less processed
  4. Hi has anyone ever ordered Chinese hair type, especially in longer lengths? I would like to get more straight units as each Indian one gets naturally wavy. is difference in hair shaft very different? Any input is appreciated!!!
  5. Yes, that is what many are thinking. Once they saw we still pay, why go back. One would hope advances in technology do bring prices down OR make greater durability advancements in the future.
  6. Hi just wondering if there are any changes to the whole hair production since Covid? There are some news N.Korea is opening its borders back which for hair world means back to the old production times and prices? No need for extra rush fees for normal delivery time? What do you all think, will things ever come back to preCovid times?
  7. I do a lot of sports too and I find lace great for that. I have only tried poly on sides and back in few units but do not see any real benefit to it rather than what most say easier clean up. But I have no issues cleaning lace so for me all lace was logical choice. Especially for uncovered front. you will probably need to test this for yourself, though. we all have our preferences as you will see
  8. Hi Peppe don’t give up hope, you are only at the very start of your wearing journey. Now you learn and perfect the process. Great thing is you did the worst part and it helps a lot you have friends and family supporting you on this. Not sure which hair system you have but it looks like knotted thin skin and quite thick. Check out how lace looks on me, and this is a “thicker” lace (those who love higher density are recommended to stick with this type of lace). This is lace with tape used and I wear it revealed most of the time. Have some side bangs but front is totally doable to be worn like this. Don’t lose hope. We all learned and found what suits us best. check even the gallery section of the NHS.it page to check what it possible. looks to me that you just need a better unit - either lace or thin skin (truly thin skin)
  9. Thank you. you did an amazing job with each one. So factory did a coloring? Did you send a color swatch or said color in numbers? (This would be very helpful to know). Also is this standard or total size?
  10. @Fabibella would it be possible if you shared specifications of each of the units? You nailed your specifications in each one! thank you in advance
  11. Wow! Amazing Fabibella! it would be great to know the specifications of each hair piece here so to be able to order similar. That is the only reason I would be scared to risk, and we know long hair costs money
  12. I actually did this this last install where I added a strip from other unit in knotted poly. I did not sew it together, just first installed my piece and then taped this added extension to the back. worked quite ok but would probably be easier if you sew them together (so you do not need to tape both pieces)
  13. Do you think this would work on lace too? I remember foreign forum used to use Autoglym Tar remover as a “hack” to cleaning the lace. that worked great but smelled like gasoline
  14. I have done something like that to my unit that I kept cutting the front lace bit by bit as the hair shed and lace frayed. I just taped 2 cm track which I cut from an old and positioned it back to back to the existing one. Extended the piece in a way. Did not sew it, just taped them separately but I wear long hair so no gap is really visible. you might use a transparent thread to sew them if needed, I suppose.
  15. Would this shampoo/conditioner cause issues on lace unit? Causing some shedding or affecting adhesive strength?
