Lottatore Inviato: 21 Maggio 2002 Segnala Share Inviato: 21 Maggio 2002 Ciao a tutti, Anche io ricevero' a breve l'FNS. --------------- Message #3728: FNS: Early Results Comments From: LameDuck Date: 5/15/2002 7:26 PM I've been using FNS for 1 week now. My results? Guarded optimism. The brown vellum that continually grows 1 to 2 mm and then sheds has become 5 mm, with newer 1 to 2 mm vellum also present. The "invisible" vellum (peach fuzz) that I haven't seen in years is wide-spread on my scalp; very fine and short, but present. My approach: I wash my scalp with baby shampoo at 8:00 P.M., then apply the FNS. Not having heard I should be using 2-3 pumps, I've been using only 1 and seriously working it into the hair pores (lots of finger-tip pressure). I let it dry at least 2 hours before going to bed, and wash it out in the morning. My only complaints are the initial smell of the stuff (sickly sweet) while it is still wet, and of course, the COLD (brrrrrr!) of keeping the stuff in the fridge. I'd like to hear other people's early results and your method of application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Message #3754: Re: FNS: Early Results Comments Reply To: Re: FNS: Early Results Comments From: Darren Date: 5/19/2002 5:25 AM Container I have been using the follicle nutrient system for about two weeks now. Its application is somewhat challenging, but with a bit of practice it seems to be quite easy. I myself have been using about seven pumps of the solution, hie thoroughly massaged it into the affected areas, then comb the residue into the rest of the hair. It was about six days till I realise that you were supposed to story in a refrigerator, that will pay me to read the instructions, typical me!. I can't say that actually noticed any affect on my existing hair other than to say there is quite shiny and my scalp is not itchy anymore as it was before this treatment. I hope to keep you informed as far as my progress is concerned My approach: I wash my scalp with baby shampoo at 8:00 P.M., then apply the FNS. I've used FNS (Follicle Nutrient System, by Osmotics) since May 6 (so for 13 days), and noticed a few new hairs popping out in my frontal hairline region within 6 days. Also, some of my existing hair in that area that was "dying" started a growth spurt! I swear that this one hair grew 3/4 an inch in 7 days! Anyhow, the "peach fuzz" seems to be a little fuller, and every day or so I notice a few more turning into brown normal hairs. I actually have been using a VERY small amount (maybe one pump at the most per application--the stuff's expensive!), applying a very thin coat to my hairline area, and thinning top. Having read other peoples' posts about dosage, I might increase and see what happens (e.g., to 2 pumps). So, although my results are preliminary and anecdotal, the fact that I'm seeing new hairs pop out where there hasn't been anything in years (I'm 26) is awfully encouraging! Nothing else I've tried has made any difference--and I'm using FNS on its own--not in combo with Propecia or Minoxidil or whatever else. Oh, I do apply some in the morning after my shower too--just in the hopes of maximizing my results. It doesn't seem to make my hair look much different after it dries--plus, even if it does, it's worth if it helps. I think I will shave my hair to about a centimeter in a few weeks (assuming growth continues) to make thorough application easier (the existing hairs get in the way a little. The scent is non-bothersome, and actually pleasant. My scalp is healthier and no longer itches. I use basic Suave shampoo for washing, but may switch to a gentler kind. I guess that's about all I have to report. So, if your up for trying one more product, I would recommend giving it a chance--go to www.osmotics.com (it's about $60.00 for 2 mos), shipping's fast and reasonable. Put it in the fridge after you get it (I'm not sure why). Let us all know how it works--I'm optimistic that this might be a major breakthrough--especially considering how quickly I've noticed results (perhaps because I only started losing my hair 6-7 years ago, and because I still have lots of "peach fuzz?" Put up a posting if you have any questions or tips/comments/results to share.
