"My newest all #18 lace piece"

Hey all:

I just received my latest piece. My first piece was an all #64 no poly sides piece.

My second is an all #18, no poly or anything on the edge.. My god is it delicate!!! I cannot see any difference between this and my old Farrell Ultra Minimal, other than there is no orange tint to the lace like on the Farrell.

I can't wait to get it cut in!!

Wow! awesome news J1. What color is your hair? You got an all #18 lace, even for the base?

Is it more delicate than your Farrell ultra minimals? I know my Farrell ultra minimals are delicate but the front lace is slightly more delicate than the lace base.

I always thought the coolpiece 64 base and 18 front were similar to the Farrell ultras. I can only imagine that an all 18 lace is delicate to the extreme.

If you can ever post some pictures that would be awesome!

Okay...I think I'm missing something here...

I have (what Farrells told me) are two Ultra Minimal 2's and the bases are nowhere near the 64# from CoolPiece but much stiffer and certainly not see through. You CANNOT see scalp through these things, so what's the deal?

I am confused on what you mean Hollywood.

I dont have coolpiece so I cant compare my Farrell units to any coolpiece units. I just remember reading from some on this forum that a 64 base and an 18 front OR a .12 base and an 18 front with NO borders or edges were similar to what a Farrell Ultra Minimal might be.

The all 18 like what J1 ordered definitely sounds interesting

I have the old ultra minimals. I can see scalp through mine.

Hollywood the Ultraminimal 2's basically have a #64 lace front and a much, much thicker lace base(almost like the .12 lace). You are right it is much stiffer and not see through but there are plenty of bennies to go with it for being used as a base.

The old Ultraminimals (ultra 1?) are basically #64 lace all around.

Hollywood,

As you know, Farrell's minimals have a stiffer material behind their swiss lace front. That stiffer lace material is very similar to coolpiece's .12 (a welded monofilament material). Trust me, I have seen coolpiece's .12, 3, and 64 materials as well as Farrell's minimals. If J1 has an all 18 piece, then his is MUCH more fragile than a Farrell minimal.

I understand that Farrell also has an even more fragile piece than his minimal, which has the same swiss lace that is used in the front around the entire perimeter with the stiffer monofilament material in the middle area. Farrell doesn't do this design for many customers, but he told me that this design is the ultimate in undetectability to the touch for the customer who is extrememly finicky about detectability to the touch. His minimals are slightly more detectable to the touch because of the stiffer material on the perimeter. But what J1 has is even more fragile than this design, because he has NO welded monofilament.

I have 2 all #18 Lace pieces and without hesitation I can honestly say they are the most undetectable and natural looking hairpieces I have had in nearly 25 years of wearing.

Hey BA,

I'm considering going with the #18 coolpiece as well. Question..do you have a problem securing it, and what do you use. Thanks

Hey BA.

How is the longevity? I have had my all #64 lace piece for three months. I attach using tape on the back, and sometimes lace tape and sometimes glue on the front. It stays on for about 4-5 days.

How are you attaching yours?

Thanks

Hi Lads,

The only problem I have had with the all lace pieces is fitting them I have tried many ways but find if you dont get it positioned right first shot it can become messy as for the ultimate look and feel I use all glue, So in that respect I ALWAYS get my stylist to fit them, He applys glue to the back then positions the piece correctly then rolls it down to the front, IMHO you need them extra pair of hands when fitting these all lace pieces with glue I dont use tape on them so I cant comment on that, As for longevity I have had one of them over 6 months (Not wearing everyday) and no problems, Thats the advantage of having 2 I also have 5 other lace pieces of various styles with poly etc, etc. As for keeping the hair soft and looking good when not using one of them I always put a hair cream on such as brylcreem then when I am going to use that one I wash off the brylcreem with Infusim 23 conditioner dry with a warm setting (NOT HOT) on the hairdryer and then off to my stylist to get it fitted, Hope this helps you lads and enjoy your all lace piece and watch for the attraction of the girls, And no the girls wont feel it in them intimate times.

Regards BA.
